Obituary of Luke Michael Chin-Leung

April 2nd, 1969 - July 11th, 2020 Luke Michael Chin-Leung was born in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago to parents, Michael and Alison Chin-Leung. At the age of three, he immigrated to Canada with his family. He spent most of his life in Pickering, Ontario where he grew up. He was the oldest of the three Chin-Leung children. As a teenager he joined the 2525 Army Cadet Corps, which he was actively involved with for many years, achieving the rank of Cadet Lieutenant. His passion for the military, propelled him to join the Primary Reserve of the Canadian Armed Forces where he trained and served for 23 years with the Ontario Regiment (RCAC), retiring in 2012 as a Master Corporal. Professionally, Luke also pursued his other passion, computer and information technology, eventually becoming a Network Administrator. Luke was diagnosed with kidney disease in 2017. After a near death experience, he found himself resolved to make the most of his second chance at life. Over the last three and a half years, Luke has rooted himself more firmly in his Catholic faith, and resolved to spend as much time as possible with his family. Luke is survived by his brother, Jason Chin-Leung (Gabriela) and sister, Michelle Medeiros (Paulo). He is a loving, and devoted uncle to his four nephews (Elias, Eric, Jonah and Lucian) and two nieces (Marie and Emily), who absolutely adore him. He will be greatly missed, but will continue to live on in our hearts.
