My condolences to Annette's family. I'm a resident of St. Andrew's and Annette was so kind to me when I moved into the building 3+ years ago. I thought I had downsized appropriately but found I needed extra storage space for balcony furniture that first winter. Annette kindly offered the use of her locker and would not take payment..... she said I could buy her a bottle of wine! I enjoy a white wine, but Annette liked red, so I was at a bit of a loss what to buy. Fortunately I (apparently) found a very nice wine which Annette liked. I enjoyed her company at the weekly gatherings we were able to hold in the building prior to Covid and we all looked forward to her wonderful baking as she was kind enough to bring "treats" on more than one occasion.
We will miss her - she was a lovely lady.

I can picture Auntie Annette at Grandma and Grandpa's house at Christmas when we were kids and at the family Christmas parties and Boxing Day parties when we were older. With all of the commotion and loud conversations and card games, you could hear her laugh over top of all of it and her smile lit up the room. And she could give us a look if our horsing around went too far. She was one in a million. I picture her now with Uncle Peter and so many of our family. In my mind Auntie Annette is literally laughter. Strong, outgoing, fiercely loyal, unafraid to show her emotions and envelop everyone around her in the love and support of family. Living life to its fullest no matter the obstacles. I think of cooking and baking and eating and dancing and playing games and cards and swimming in the backyard pool and parties. These will all continue - she will be sorely missed but her place among us will not be diminished by her physical absence, as her spirit and energy will always be with us.
