Obituary of Sylvia Barbara Jacqueline Bianchi

Bianchi, Sylvia (nee Patterson)  - Passed away peacefully in her 88th year on Sunday January 9, 2022 at the Milton district Hospital with her family be her side.  Beloved wife of the late Walter Bianchi (2001).  Loving mother of Gary (Maria), David (Mirella) and Shelley (the late Mark) Broderick.  Loved Nana of Frank, (Alexandra), Cosmo (Valerie), Michael (Krystal), Lisa-Marie (Tadeo), Daniel (Ashley), Annabella and Trevor.  Great Nana of Nicholas, Julian, Zoey, Kinsley and David.  Predeceased by her parents Clifton (Pat), and I'lene Patterson, as well as her brother Bill Patterson.  Sylvia and Walter were proud owners and operators of Sunny Acre Farms (1957-2007) in Norval Ontario. They grew numerous varieties of apples, strawberries and other vegetables providing many stores around the GTA with beautiful, fresh produce. Sylvia was able to fulfill her passion for travelling the world. While sailing on cruise ships allowed her to visit countless beautiful locations, it also gave her the opportunity to create long lasting friendships with her fellow travellers as well as crew members. When she returned from her many adventures overseas, Sylvia loved watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune with her cherished friend Donna Vettese. Sylvia enjoyed playing bingo and was also an avid reader with a vast collection of novels favouring crime and mystery. A private family service was held in the chapel at the Jones Funeral Home, Georgetown, (905) 877-3631.  Sylvia will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Cemetery, Norval.  Memorial contributions can be sent to Kerry's Place(Guelph Autism Chapter),  Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation or the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
