Normore, Robert (Bob) Winston, 82, of Wasaga Beach Ontario passed away on Tuesday May 17, 2022 at the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital. Bob is survived by his loving wife Shirley who was his best friend and soulmate. He is also survived by his sons Keith and Karl (mother Hazel), 7 step children, Kim O'Dette, Trevor Robinson, Michelle Robinson, Danny Coulighan, Jeff (Sue) Coulighan, Stephen Coulighan and Anne (Paul) Basha. Bob is survived by 12 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren together with a large number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Bob will be sadly missed by his 9 siblings, Woodrow, James (Catherine), Elizabeth, Brian, Albert (Judi), Judith Myers, Selwyn (Debbie Mootrey), Sandra Normore (Hammond) and Marilyn (Rick Vervaeke). Bob was predeceased by his brother Lloyd, sister in laws Viola, Margaret and Madeline as well as brother in laws Gerald Myers and Lawrence Hammond.
Bob was born on Bell Island, Newfoundland to Mary and Robert Normore on September 24, 1939. He later began a career as a Millwright with the Iron Ore Company of Canada in Labrador City and then 29 years with Nortel in Brampton Ontario. Soon after his career with Nortel, Bob moved to Wasaga Beach where he began working as a Transportation Driver for the Parkview Bus Lines of Collingwood for over 10 years. The last year included being a specialized driver for Special Needs Children in the Simcoe Region.
Family and Friends will be received for visitation at Jones Funeral Home in Georgetown on Tuesday May 24, 2022 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the Chapel at Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown on Wednesday May 25, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. with Father Sharon Johnstone of the All-Saints Anglican Church of Collingwood officiating. Interment will follow at the Greenwood Cemetery in Georgetown. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Bob's memory may be made to the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital or All-Saints Anglican Church in Collingwood.
