Sandi Proach

Sandra “Sandi”
Proach

Receptionist and Hostess

Sandi became acquainted with Jones Funeral Home through a lifetime of attending services there. She was always impressed by the people working there, how they engaged with people and treated families, and, perhaps more importantly, how the families felt about them. Jones’ philosophies aligned with Sandi’s values of kindness and caring, so when the position became available, she was quick to apply. She immediately felt at home in a place where people always come first.

When she isn’t helping people navigate the most challenging moments of their lives, Sandi enjoys gardening, growing her own vegetables, cooking, reading, walking, and spending downtime with her grandchildren, family, and friends.

Andrea Van de Valk

Andrea
Van de Valk

Receptionist and Hostess

Having been born and raised in beautiful Georgetown, Andrea has had many opportunities to witness the kindness and professionalism that Jones Funeral Home provides. Losing family members at a young age gave her insight to realize that no one really understands or knows what to do during a time of loss—unless they themselves have walked in those shoes. Andrea felt she could make a difference if she were a part of the Jones Team because she does understand.

Andrea finds that being able to provide support to people is very gratifying. In her own words, “If I can help a grieving family make it through a tough day, that is what it is all about. I am very proud to be a member of the great team at Jones.”

Andrea was born and raised in Georgetown and spent many years working for RBC and the Town of Halton Hills, from which she retired and joined the Jones team as a Receptionist and Hostess in 2017.

Outside of her work at the funeral home, Andrea spends most of her time volunteering at the Georgetown Hospital, singing with the Georgetown Choral Society and St. John’s United Church Choir and spending time with her family.
